Ooo...yes, I have heard about it, my friend. Touchy subject with me.
It started off as a couple of different projects (HIRED GUNS and A BULLET WAITS FOR YOU)...both to be directed by Andrew McKenzie.
McKenzie hired me to compose the music for both projects! But, long story short....I got cut out of the deal. McKenzie originally stated that he could no longer use me as the composer because I was not Canadian or Australian. The producers wanted someone from either country to do the score. Well....as far as I can tell Andrea Morricone isn't Canadian or Australian. But, whatever...
All I know is that I wasted two years of my life on these projects and got ZERO out of it.
For Donati's sake I hope this thing actually gets made; but, with McKenzie behind it all...I am not too sure.

I just saw the "teaser" for this...and, I am sorry, but it looks like garbage!!
Why has McKenzie all the sudden decided someone would want to watch an animated Western??
Well, let me rephrase that...because an animated Western might be OK, but when you have a great cast (as he supposedly...SUPPOSEDLY...has) why ruin that by making them animated?
Oh well....

You know, Tom Savini has been onboard for these projects from the word GO. Makes me wonder about him.
Originally, HIRED GUNS was going to star Franco Nero, then Ed Harris, then....well...it has gone through an untold number of "in talks" cast lineups.

I think it is never gonna happen.
I guess I should feel lucky instead of being hacked off, right?
