A little over 8 years ago, I built a website called the NIKKATSU ACTION LOUNGE. At the time, it was one of the only websites, in English, that dealt with the subject.
The website has languished for ages---partially due to intermittent health issues on my part and partially due to space limitations imposed upon me by Tripod.
For quite some time I had been toying with the idea of making the Nikkatsu Action Lounge more than just an informational fan site. I wanted to make it more interactive for visitors. I wanted to make it more like a club for fans of hard-boiled Japanese Action Cinema. I wanted "members" to be able to post comments, blogs, photos, videos, and so forth...to become more personally involved.
Finally, I think I have made that happen.

The site is, and will be, a continuous work-in-progress, so you should find new stuff being posted weekly, if not daily.
I am in the process of transferring all the old data from my original website to this new one--but, I will be posting new stuff at the same time.
As I mentioned above, I would like for this to be a gathering place for all fans of Japanese Action Cinema--be it Nikkatsu Action, Toei Yakuza eiga, Toho Ankokugai films, or what-have-you.
So, please feel free to drop by the site...and sign up to be a member of the group! It is entirely free.
