Still looking forward to ONNA SAZEN (One Eyed, One-Armed Swordswoman). Also Outlaw Swordswoman O-Kon looks interesting. And the orignal RONINGAI, another volume of RONIN OF THE WASTELANDS, and a few others.

I received my volume of the silent films. I've watched OROCHI, which is the original inspiration for THE BETRAYAL (starring Raizo). OROCHI was very good to watch and it was quite a bit different from THE BETRAYAL -- both films are worth their weight in gold. Now I have to watch NEW PRISON WALLS OF ABASHIRI 3.

As for O-Rin. This is a great adventure. Except that I wish so much that she would be able to lose that completely ridiculous skin-tight suit. The suit has a football pad on one shoulder and her other shoulder is completely bared. All of the other characters are dressed in more-or-less traditional ways, and here comes O-Rin with that totally absurd modern circus trapeze outfit. I don't know if the film-makers thought that O-Rin wouldn't be sexy enough for men without that outfit -- or what the problem is. This is as bad as when Wakayama Tomisaburo (in several films) comes out with his Western Cowboy get-up, trying to do a Clint Eastwood impersonation.
